About course
This program consists of a combination of Online work and classroom sessions (for practical skill training, practical skill testing, final written testing) and is designed to give the student the skill and knowledge needed to function as a working Emergency Medical Technician and to facilitate passing the National Registry Exam. All equipment required for the practical skills such as stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, splinting devices and spinal boards will be provided by the school at no cost to the student. The program is intended for those who want to gain employment as a firefighter, emergency care technician at a hospital, as an ambulance driver or attendant. It is also for those individuals who are planning on attempting to obtain a higher level of medical training such as RN, PA or MD as an enhancement for the competitive application process for those professions. One of the advantages of the CIEMT “Online” EMT course is that our students get to meet online live with actual faculty weekly for guidance and a Q & A session.

THE FOLLOWING IS THE REFUND POLICY YOU AGREED TO WHEN YOU REGISTERED FOR THE COURSE:
* Cancellation and refund policy: STUDENT’S RIGHT TO CANCEL Students are required to submit a two-hundred-dollar ($250.00) registration fee as a condition of registration for the Initial Certification Program for EMT-Basic. Cancellation of attendance in this program will allow the student a full refund only if cancellation is made Ten (10) working days prior to the start date of the class in which the student has registered. If cancellation is made less than ten working days prior to the start date of the course, the registration fee is considered nonrefundable. Cancellation is defined as sending a date verifiable e-mail to the CIEMT course program directors e-mail address. EXAMPLE PRORATED REFUND BELOW
* Example: If a student withdraws from the CIEMT EMT course after attending 75 hours of program, the refund of tuition would be calculated as follows:
1. $1110.00 Course Fee - $2.50 STRF - $250.00 Registration Fee =$857.50
2. $857.50 divided by the number of hours in the program 146 Hrs = $5.87 an hourly charge for the program.
3. The amount owed by the student would be the hours in which the student attended the course 75 hours X the hourly charge $5.87 = $440.25 plus the registration fee of $250.00 equaling a student owed amount of $690.25
4. The amount in excess and refund to the student would be tuition amount $1110.00 – $690.25 the amount owed by the student, which would equal a refund amount paid to the student of $419.75.
If you have attended 60% of the program which calculates to Skills day 2 there is no refund.
REFUND REQUEST MADE THRU OUR CHAT SYSTEM OR PHONE CALL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. YOU MUST EMAIL [email protected].
If you choose to ONLY pay the registration fee, you will have a remaining balance. This balance can’t be broken down into payments. If you process a payment our system will process the remaining balance in full.
CIEMT is not responsible for any errors made by the student/payer. We will process a refund minus the 3% administration fee as stated on our website after the student has emailed [email protected]
Make sure you have MADE and PAID for your application before the end date of your program.
NOT DOING THE ABOVE WILL CAUSE YOUR NAME NOT TO APPEAR WHEN WE GO IN AND CLICK YOUR CLASS OFF.
When the class has been clicked off for the NREMT, you will receive an email from the NREMT stating that you are ready to schedule your exam. Some students get lucky and receive this email within 24 hours and some take up to 72 hours.
If you did not make and pay for your application on time or decided to wait and your class has already been clicked off, follow the steps below:

3. Location of your class
** As soon as I have this information, I will add you to the NREMT CHECK OFF WAITLIST ROSTER and you will be clicked off when ANOTHER CLASS FINISHES. Once you have been clicked off you will receive an
email from the NREMT as soon as you can schedule your test.
DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL OR EMAIL US ASKING WHEN YOU WILL BE CLICKED OFF. THIS WILL NOT SPEED THINGS UP .
It is the student’s responsibility to email [email protected] to be put on the NREMT WAITLIST ROSTER, if the student did not MAKE and PAY for their application by the END DATE of
their program. CIEMT does not go back and check class rosters once they have been clicked off as a class.
